Newsflash!

I've taken the plunge and finally applied for, and been accepted onto, an MA in Fine Art, starting Sept '25.

This will be at Leeds Beckett Uni (once Leeds Poly, where the legendary Soft Cell were formed on the Fine Art degree, so very honoured to be going there)

I'm winding down the jewellery in order to clear the decks and concentrate on the MA for the next couple of years. It's something I've always wanted to do and, for various reasons, the time now seems right.
I'm a Yorkshire-based jeweller, enameller and printmaker, working in etched, engraved & enamelled silver and copper along with other metals as the inspiration takes me.

Most printmakers will tell you that they often prefer the plate to the print, and that was the starting point for my work using printmaking techniques in jewellery.

Sterling silver is combined with copper and brass, textured, etched and engraved.  In addition, on some pieces, layers of vitreous enamels are used in a painterly way to add elements of colour.

My work is inspired by the English landscape, my printmaking practice, and training as a garden designer.  The design process is intentionally spontaneous, responding to the combination, chemistry & properties of the materials I use, and I do love a happy accident!

When printmaking I love to use ALL the processes!  Etching, collagraph, lithograph and monoprint are used in layers with collaged ink drawings, rubbings and sometimes metal elements added.

I sell through galleries locally and throughout the country, and love to get out and meet people at local events. I don't sell through the website but you can find out where to find my work on my stockists page, or follow me on Facebook, instagram or Twitter for news of what I'm up to.

Here's a link and copy of my Artists CV, for anyone who's interested.
